Glashow-Schnitzer-Weinberg Sum Rule

چکیده
In 1967 Glashow, Schnitzer and Weinberg derived a sum rule in the soft pion and soft kaon limit relating the ∆I = 1 2 non-leptonic K → 2π amplitude to integrals over strange and non-strange spectral functions. Using the recent ALEPH data from τ -decay, we show that the sum rule, slightly modified to reduce contributions near the cut, yields the correct magnitude decay amplitude corresponding to the ∆I = 1 2 rule.

Weinberg like sum rules revisited
The generalized Weinberg sum rules containing the difference of isovector vector and axial-vector spectral functions saturated by both finite and infinite number of narrow resonances are considered. We summarize the status of these sum rules and analyze their overall agreement with phenomenological Lagrangians, low-energy relations, parity doubling, hadron string models, and experimental data.
متن کاملChiral symmetry and open-charm mesons
Pseudo-scalar and scalar D mesons are considered within the QCD sum rule approach. We present an analysis of the mass splitting of the pseudo-scalar D−D̄ mesons and the relation to QCD condensates. Weinberg type sum rules are derived for chiral partners which highlight the role of the chiral condensate.
متن کاملIPNO-DR 99-22 Nf DEPENDENCE OF THE QUARK CONDENSATE FROM A CHIRAL SUM RULE
Information on how fast the < q̄q > condensate in QCD-like theories varies as a function of Nf , the number of different flavour massless quarks, can be inferred from real QCD using chiral perturbation theory. At order one loop, one must estimate the value of a single low-energy coupling constant, L6, which we express in terms of a chiral sum rule. The spectral function is shown to obey a Weinbe...
متن کاملTwo new sum rules for octet-baryon magnetic moments (μ) and constraints on QCD sum rules from new experimental determination of μ-s for the decuplet
Recently the μ∆++ was found from a fit to π p scattering [1]. This enable us to pinpoint condensate parameters more precisely in the context of QCD sum rules (QCDSR). In the octet sector, the Coleman-Glashow sum rule (CGSR) [2] is violated by the experimental μ-s. QCDSR allows us to write down two sum rules similar to the CGSR, which are obeyed by the experimental magnetic moments, whereas they...
